Last night I watched the Teen Choice Awards, I figured it would be a repeat of the MTV Video Music Awards and that every single category Twilight was nominated for, they’d win. It did happen, or nearly, they won 11 out of 12 awards they were nominated for. But at least they did it in an intelligent way and not turn the show in to “The Twilight Awards” which is exactly what happened at the MVA’s; they waited until the end of the show to announce the awards they had won and they all came up to accept their awards as a group.

On that note, the second Twilight film will be out in November and I’m anxious to see if they will sell out the first night. Judging by the amount of fans and followers of the saga, they just may. I myself am I fan, however, being a long time vampire lover; I have trouble swallowing Meyers version of the vampire.

I understand that there’s no set criteria of what makes a vampire a vampire, but having a vampire sparkle or twinkle when it comes in to contact with sunlight rather than bursting in to flames seems a bit hoakie to me and goes against everything else I’ve ever read about vampires.

Other than changing the impact daylight has on vampires, Meyers seems to have stuck with the blood feud between vampires and werewolves in this instalment, and I am excited to see Taylor Lautner’s character as a werewolf as well as anything else this movie will have to offer.
